"Energy moves in Waves. Waves move in patterns. Patterns move in rhythms. A human being is just that - energy, waves, patterns, rhythms. Nothing more. Nothing less. A dance." Gabrielle Roth
The five rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness combine in a harmonic vibrant sequence of the danced Wave.
Come and connect your head, heart and body, in joyous company. Newcomers are especially welcome.

Here are some examples:
I've been dancing 5Rhythms since 2003, and have been an accredited teacher since 2011. In 5Rhythms I found a practice where I could dance myself inside out, where I could express and accept my dark, wild and tender self.
In my very first 5 Rhythms dance in 2003, I was filled with an ecstatic vision of my dancing right up to the moment of my physical death. As a teacher and dancer I'm drawn to explore ways of dancing that embodies this wild spirit, whilst honouring the physical truth of how the body ages and changes with time. I live in an urban village on the edge of Bradford city centre, and I teach classes and day workshops in Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and elsewhere.
I love the poetry of Rumi and Mary Oliver, I've been dancing to Patti Smith for most of my life, and relax by sitting and watching beetles and bees with my back against a tree.
